3 Simple Low Fat Greek Yogurt Recipes

Greek yogurt is naturally high in protein and great addition to macro friendly snacks or meals. Here are three of my go to low fat recipes with greek yogurt. Great for busy days as they are quick to put together and require little preparation. 

 

1.Blueberry Frozen Yogurt

Ingredients:

250g Greek yogurt, fat free

85g Blueberries, frozen

1tbsp 15g Maple syrup

1/2 cup Crushed ice

Method:

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until thick frozen yogurt like consistency.

2.Quinoa Greek Yogurt Bowl

Ingredients:

50g Quinoa (dry weight)

170g Greek yogurt, fat free

35g blueberries, fresh or frozen

1 tbsp 15g maple syrup or honey

Method:

Cook quinoa according to instructions on package. Place in a bowl and add greek yogurt. Add blueberries on top and drizzle with honey or maple syrup.

Tip: Preparing a batch of quinoa and storing it in the fridge saves time when putting the meal together.

3.Chia Berry Greek Yogurt

Ingredients

170g Greek yogurt, fat free

1tbsp 15g Chia seeds

1/2 cup 80g Berries, fresh or frozen

12 g Maple syrup or honey

 

Method:

1.Soak chia seeds in 4tbsp of water until they turn into a gel (I usually soak them overnight in the fridge.) 

2.Place greek yogurt in a bowl and mix with chia seed gel.

3. Add berries and drizzle with maple syrup or honey.
